If you've registered your domain name elsewhere and linked it to Webador, you'll still be able to use the email address that's included in your Pro or Business plan. All this requires is some additional changes to your DNS settings.
We still recommend transferring your domain to Webador: there are no additional costs as a domain registration is already included in both our Pro and Business plans, and we automatically take care of configuring your domain name.
If you still want to create an email address with Webador without transferring your domain name, you'll need to apply the configuration below in your domain's DNS settings.
Name | Type | Value |
Leave empty OR @ | MX | mail.webador.com |
Leave empty OR @ | TXT | v=spf1 include:_spf.webador.com ~all |
jouwweb._domainkey | CNAME | website-rendering._domainkey.jouwweb.nl |
⚠ Warning: If your DNS settings already contain a TXT record that starts with "v=spf1" you should edit that record and add "include:_spf.webador.com" to its value instead of creating a new record.
Mailbox creation
Once you've updated the DNS settings at your other web host, as described above, you can create the mailbox within Webador. To do this, go to your My subscription page.
Then click on + Create e-mail address and on the next page on Modify DNS.
If the DNS settings are set correctly, a green check mark will appear. You can then create your mailbox via + Add email address.
